Brand Identity 2024
This project focused on developing a complete brand identity system, starting with research and ending with a finalized abstract logo and brand guideline. I began by researching an industry and analyzing existing logos to understand design styles, color palettes, and elements that could inspire my own abstract mark.
I then brainstormed brand concepts by creating possible brand names for different industries and ultimately chose to focus on a mental health non-profit organization. I wanted the brand to reflect the connection between music and therapy and communicate a sense of support and hope for people seeking emotional healing.
From there, I sketched logo ideas, refined them digitally using geometric forms and grids, applied color and typography, and learned technical standards such as RGB versus CMYK and created a final brand sheet that outlined all elements of the visual identity. Lastly, I applied the Growth Music Therapy brand identity to a business card, letterhead, and app icon, and screen-printed the design onto physical materials to demonstrate how the visual system translates across different brand applications.
