Designer: Andrea Loera
I was born and raised in the Bay Area, where I began my graphic design journey at De Anza College before transferring to San Diego State University. I graduated from SDSU with a B.A. in Graphic Design, Magna Cum Laude. My experiences across different communities and creative environments have shaped my perspective as a designer and continue to influence the way I approach my work.
During my time at SDSU, I explored design beyond the classroom through student-led organizations, including The Look Magazine and The Daily Aztec, where I created social media graphics and page layouts. I also interned at Enne Bi Communications, a marketing and design agency in downtown San Diego, where I gained hands-on experience working alongside a small creative team and learned what it was like to bring design into a professional studio environment.
Background
I enjoy finding the balance between creative expression and thoughtful strategy, using design to shape how people experience a brand, event, or idea. Music, culture, and community continue to influence the way I see and approach design, inspiring me to create work that balances creative expression with clear communication.
I believe design is more than creating something visually appealing; it is a way to communicate ideas, tell stories, and create meaningful connections. For me, good design begins with understanding what needs to be communicated and who it is being communicated to. I strive to create work that reflects the vision and goals of each project while making sure the message is clear, intentional, and engaging.
